Some briefs ask for restraint. This one asked for a school bus on fire, driven by a laughing old man, on a football field, under stadium lights.
The illustration
The whole gag lives in the driver. He is having the time of his life while the back half of his bus burns, and that contrast is the joke the merch is selling. The fire doubles as a motion trail, which gives the bus somewhere to be going and fills the right side of the composition.
Detail like this usually dies at small sizes, so the bus front, the beard, and the flames are built at three clear value steps. Squint at it and you still read yellow shape, white shape, orange shape.
The wordmark
THE in a white outline, STRUGGLE BUS in heavy gold caps with a black slab shadow. It stacks under the scene for the full badge and stands alone for sleeve prints and hats.
